Overview

Britax B-Ready G3 is the most desirable stroller for families with ever-changing needs. The b-ready stroller debuted in summer 2018 and has been in high demand ever since. It is a terrain stroller with a secure fold system and clicks & go technology for families on the go. The nanotex fabric is another factor for its high demand since it is water and stain-resistant. Who doesn’t like that?

Age range: Infant to toddler

The Britax B-Ready G3 is suitable for newborns when used with the infant car seats, the secondary seat, or the bassinet. If you don’t have any of them and you don’t intend to use the b-ready stroller with the infant, you can use it from 6 months until your little one attains a weight of 55lbs using the primary seat.

It is also essential to know that using the bassinet can only be applied facing forward with the use of extension adapters.

The adjustable leg rest of the b-ready allows your baby to grow in the stroller. The footrest is made of easy to clean fabric to ensure that you wipe diaper leaks or dirt easily if you are using the stroller on a big child.

How do you attach the baby carrier into the b-ready g3 stroller?

To do this, engage the b-ready stroller brake, squeeze both release levers on the click & go connector simultaneously, and support the carrier’s weight.

Design: Strong and Elegant

Britax B-Ready g3 has a modern look. It is black, which makes it gender-neutral, and it comes in black only. Being a double baby stroller with only one dark color, it can suit kids of a different gender. The design is sleek and modern, which makes it ideal for current parents.

The G3 has an enormous canopy on the main seat to protect your child from direct sun and wind. The canopy has also got a Velcro operated peek-a-boo window to allow you to check on your baby. Additionally, the canopy of the b-ready stroller is ventilated to enhance your child’s breathability and prevent the b-ready g3 stroller from overheating. The second infant car seat also has a canopy with a peek-a-boo window for ventilation. Britax b-ready has a huge sun canopy with a pop-out sun visitor for additional protection.

Since the G3 is a two-seat stroller, we can tell you that it is the best for twins. It can also be used for kids of different ages, even those below 6 months. The primary seat can face forward or backward so that your child can face you or the world. It also has four recline positions, though it does not lie flat. Therefore, babies below 6 months of age need to use a bassinet or an infant car seat to ride on this seat.

The second infant car seat is positioned under the primary place. Fully reclining the second seat is a feature that makes the G3 suitable for newborns. The cline position allows your baby to lean on wholly to take a nap comfortably as you keep strolling. This b-ready g3 stroller gives an option to choose the perfect angle for your little one to nap or see the world. The b-ready infant car seat can recline to the flat, which is ideal for a nap or straight up, which is suitable for looking around.

From our review, it is okay to say that the G3 is not lacking anything when it comes to seating options. The seat can be faced either way, together or separately. The B-ready g3 has 12 seating options. Important thing to note is that the second seat is sold independently; thus, you have to convert your b-ready g3 stroller using the second seat.

The G3 storage basket is huge, and it can accommodate all your essential requirements, a diaper bag, toys, wipes, jacket, and other necessary items. However, if you add the second, the basket becomes smaller but can still accommodate your essential items like a diaper bag and a few things. The bag is easily accessible from the forward and rear position. To ensure that the basket is available after adding the second seat, Britax added a zipper at the front of the mesh basket.

There is a cup holder in the b-ready g3 stroller attached to the side; the cup holder is quite large and big enough to hold an average water bottle. You can choose to purchase the tray, which is sold separately; it will help you carry some snacks either for you or your child.

The four wheels of the b-ready stroller are foam filled instead of air. This ultimately leads to a smooth ride. The all-wheel suspension feature enables the G3 to handle all terrains from grass, gravel, cobblestone, concrete, etc. The tires are large with wheel dimensions of 8 inches for front wheels and 11 inches for the rear wheels. Since the wheels are made of sturdy rubber and are foam filled, they never go flat.

The Britax B-Ready G3 comes in a variety of high-quality fabrics, and the best is nanotex. Nanotex is moisture, stain, and odor resistant material that feels very soft and has a very high-quality appearance. However, there are other much cheaper options in the market, but it is worth investing in a high-quality fabric owing to what your baby stroller can do. With Nanotex, you can wipe stubborn stains off, such as coffee stains, pen markings, and diaper explosions with a wet wipe.

We found from our review that it has an adjustable handlebar to cater to parents who are above the average height. If you are tall, you can adjust the handlebar to allow you to push without bending down. The infant car seat also sits high so that you can see much of your child’s surroundings when facing outward. The G3 has a comfortable grip with a telescoping adjustment, making it easy to push even when using one hand.

Britax click & go system makes it so easy to attach any Britax infant car seat or the bassinet. The system allows for a quick connection with the Britax infant car seat, it is easy to connect the car seat, just click it into the frame, and you’re good to go.

If you do not have a Britax car seat, you can opt for a car seat from other selective brands such as; Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, and Cybex but ensure you use the Britax car seat adapters. You should also note that if you need to use the infant car seat on the secondary bench, you will need to buy the lower infant car seat adapter, which is sold separately.

How do you attach the secondary car seat?

  • Zip the back of the basket.
  • Attach the adapter at the end of the b-ready g3 stroller just above the storage basket.
  • Click in the infant car seat facing forward.
  • Attach the primary seat in place.

The benefit of having an extra weight at the back of the stroller, especially when the primary seat is attached, enhances maneuverability and smooth turning. This is vital, especially if you live in rough terrains where steering is a massive front stroller that is very difficult.

Safety: Very Safe

The brake system is better than most standard flip seating options where you end up hurting your toes trying to unlock. The braking system of the b-ready allows you to lock both the front and rear wheels by pressing a single pedal.

To engage the brakes of the stroller, step on the brake pedal until the indicator window changes to red.

To release, step on the brake pedal until the indicator window turns to green.

To enhance your child’s safety, the G3 has an adjustable shoulder strap, ensuring that your child remains in position even after a crash.

How do you secure your child in the harness?

Always apply the brakes. Position the shoulder strap near your child’s shoulder then place the crotch strap between legs. Thread the waist strap buckle tongue through the shoulder strap tongue.

Repeat the procedure one more time for the other side; it is also important to pull all waist buckle tongue to make sure they are correctly locked into the crotch buckle assembly.

Tighten or loosen the shoulder straps and crotch straps by sliding the 3 bar harness adjuster up or down. Always remember the crotch should be adjusted to snug.

Tighten or loosen the waist strap, lift the 4 bar harness adjuster and pull the harness to adjust your preferred size

To open the harness, release the center button in on the crotch buckle while pulling the waist tongue out.

Portability: Pretty Heavy

To be honest, Britax B-Ready G3 is not a lightweight stroller since it is 30lbs when in single-model 34.9 lbs in a binary mode. However, this is something you should expect from all double strollers. The main reason why Britax G3 is substantial is that its frame is made of heavy-duty aluminum to hold up to 90lbs of baby weight.

Britax G3 is easy to fold and unfold since you can fold it with both seats in place. Let’s explore the G3 folding system;

  • Pull up both frames to release the levers situated just below the b-ready g3 handle and step back as you guide them downwards.
  • Continue folding until the chassis lock engages completely.
  • Compress the strollers frame to engage the chassis lock.

When folded, the b-ready g3 stroller becomes compact and can fit comfortably in your car trunk.

Price: Slightly Pricey

Britax b-ready G3 retails from $320 and $400 with the primary seat. Other accessories such as the secondary seat, the cup holder, an adult’s tray, and the infant car seat are sold separately. We like the price of the b-ready G3 since it is almost half the price of most luxurious double strollers.

Jeep destination ultra light side x Side Double Stroller

This is the destination stroller that makes it easier to go to places, do things, and change seats with your family. How does the Jeep destination compare to Britax –Ready G3?

Both the jeep destination and the G3 are double strollers; the only difference is that in the jeep destination, the car seats are located adjacent to each other while those of G3 have placed one on top of the other one below it. The adjacent seats are of the same size, making it easy to balance, making it ideal for twins. At the same time, the primary position in G3 is larger than the secondary area, making it suitable for children of different but close ages. The places in the G3 can hold up to 90lbs of child weight; while the weight limit in Jeep Destination is 80lbs, you can use the G3 for longer days of your children’s lives.

Both these strollers have a front-wheel swivel to give you a smooth ride; the only difference is that the wheels in G3 are much more significant than those of the Jeep destination. They are easy to fold and are compact when folded, but the G3 is much more massive than the Jeep, which weighs 28.7 lbs.

The jeep destination retails between $150 and $200.

Summer 3DPack CS + Double Stroller

This is a double stroller with seats positioned side by side, different from G3, whose primary seat is placed just above the secondary seat. The summer 3D is lightweight compared to many double strollers, particularly G3, which weighs 30lbs when only the primary position is attached; this is 7lbs above the Summer 3D.

Both the G3 and summer 3D have large storage baskets, although that of G3 is affected by the second seat’s attachment, which compresses it to a smaller size. The two strollers have a high weight limit, which allows your babies to grow in them; the weight limit of G3 is 90 pounds while that of summer 3D is100 pounds.

You can buy the summer 3D from all leading retail stores at between $250 and $280.

INFANS Tandem Stroller

Just like the G3, INFANS is a double stroller that offers a solution for babies of different but close age. The Tandem is much more like the G3 with minimal differences. These two buggies are not in a category of lightweight buggies. The G3 weighs 30pounds while the INFANS weighs 44pounds.

Our Final Verdict: Britax B-Ready Review

From our review, Britax B-Ready G3 is a luxurious all-terrain and easy to maneuver stroller made to suit your family needs. G3 is ideal for parents who value ease to fold and maneuverability of the stroller. This buggy will serve you when your child is born until pre-school and their sibling, especially if there is no vast age difference.
